Wedi-quette Wednesday!

Woo hoo! Wednesday is here! And with it, comes lots and lots of good news!

I apologize for being absent for the end of last week and the beginning of this week! I have been incredibly busy at my day job, we are putting on a fabulous event tomorrow called Scrubs in the City, Presents Secret Garden! It is going to be a truly amazing event, that supports a fabulous cause! I usually end up working all of these events, this year I am attending. I'm never one to say no to dressing up and going out with a bunch of  "adventurous party goer's"! I will be there all day tomorrow setting up, so, no Trendy Thursday this week, but, I promise to make it up to you next week!

This week I have some truly exciting updates! We've finally booked our venue, which means we officially have our date! June 1st, 2013 Mr. wedding girl and I will be making it official at the Markham Museum! The museum is a truly beautiful, unique spot. It's got over 20 acres of space, with different buildings. The buildings are the originals, there is - a church (which is STUNNING, but only holds 120, too small for us!) a mill, a general store and a train station, to name a few. We will be getting married in the gazebo and tenting part of the grounds which holds a picnic shelter. As you know, we are doing this wedding on a budget, we're trying to do most of the things ourselves and shave off the dollars wherever we can. We are not doing a full, traditional tent, we will be using the picnic shelter as the dance floor and the tent as our eating area. Saving money is all about who you know and using what you have, so to speak. As previously mentioned, we will be using Johnny Bistro, as our caterer. The menu is still being decided, but I can promise will be DELICIOUS! And it will of course reflect us :)

So we have our venue and caterer, 2 HUGE things checked off. The other exciting news I have is....drum roll please!

I FOUND MY DRESS!!! Ohh man, what an exciting feeling. I, of course, cannot divulge what it looks like. But I can tell you I love it!

So there you have it, 2 fun wedding updates from the wedding girl. I promise to cover some more things next week! Please feel free to email or comment if you have any questions :) Have a fabulous weekend readers!
