OK, so now your house is decorated for that amazing holiday party you're planning and also just to enjoy every day in December! Menu planning is very, very important. If you do it well enough in advance it will help you to not feel stressed, overwhelmed or frazzled. Lets face it, when you're about to have a house full of people its incredibly exciting, but the to do list is about as long as your arm. Mr. wedding girl and I love hosting gatherings, its one of the area's we excel in most because we just love it so much.
Prior to decorating, make sure you do a nice, good clean of your house, trust me, it'll make you feel like a million bucks and you deserve to beautify your house with those lovely decoations! I'm not saying cleaning is fun, but it is SO satisfying. Anyways, that's done, now you've decorated and its time to plan the menu!
This is, of course, going to change depending on what sort of gathering you're planning. Whether it is brunch, apps, dinner or dessert and coffee, you'll want to start researching recipes early. Some things will need to be made days in advance and just like every other shop, the grocery store is a zoo in December. Doing thing in advance will allow you some wiggle room when you forget something or mess up a pinterest recipe...it happens. So research your recipes, make your list, check it twice! and head out to brave the crowds at the grocery store. Below are some recipes I've tried with great success and a few I am dying to try!
