Wedding show season is just wrapping up, running from mid-January to March, wedding shows are one of the best ways for brides and grooms to check out vendors! The shows usually take place in conference centres or trade show rooms, these are usually the best options because the space allows for tons of booths. The types of vendors that frequent these events would be venues, DJs, photographers, bakery's, florists, event planners, decorators, dress designers, head piece designers, invitation designers, jewelers, make up artists, salons, flight centres and there are always a few random booths for hair removal and other fun things along those lines. So genuinely all things weddings! You can't be in a more centralized location for everything you need for your wedding. The great thing about wedding shows is vendors are always incredibly knowledgeable and ready to answer all of your questions, certainly beats having to make dozens of appointments and take up mountains of time! The other fabulous thing about wedding shows is vendors are there to score some business, so believe me when I say they usually go above and beyond! Make up artists usually have models to showcase their work, there are millions of invitations and photos to look through, jewellery to try on, sample bouquets to check out and, of course, cake to taste!
There are usually local wedding shows going on at golf courses and art galleries, so make sure to check out your local newspaper. As for the bigger shows, they take place at trade show centres, so make sure to clear a whole day for those babies! Best part? Brides get in free and there's tons of chances to win things, my own sweet Mom won her flowers! So be sure to check out some wedding shows when thinking about planning your wedding! And as a special treat Martha Stewart is having an online expo TODAY!!! Its free, so sign on and get some fabulous inspiration from my number 1 woman herself!
