Sarah T Photography

As promised, the fabulous Sarah of Sarah T Photography!

First of all, I want to thank the wonderful Jess for asking me to be a guest on her blog. I always love reading her blog and learning about what's hot on the wedding scene. She asked me to write a bit about what to look for when hiring a wedding photographer. As the owner of Sarah T Photography, I have a few suggestions for those in search.

For most couples, after setting the date and booking the hall you start to think about booking the photographer. As this is one of the most important dates of your life, you want to ensure the best photographer for your budget. After all, it is how you will remember your day years from now.

Start your search by asking friends and browsing the Internet. Once you narrow down your search, you should meet with the photographer to ask all of your questions and get a feel of his/her attitude. Remember that you work very closely with the photographer on your wedding day. You want to make sure you get along with the photographer and that they have a positive attitude.

When looking at the photographer's portfolio, whether it be online or a hard copy, take note of the lighting. Are the subjects well lit? Are there harsh shadow's under the subject's eyes or across their faces? Lighting can make or break a photo and this is one shoot that the photographer cannot redo.

Also, notice if the photographer captures the fine details of the big day as well as a variety of different poses.
Once you have decided on your photographer, be sure to tell them exactly what you are looking for. The more information we get, the better we can accomodate your needs!

And don't forget to have fun, let loose and try different poses. Those can make for some of the most memorable pictures!

Hope this helped, also be sure to check out Jess' Tuesday Tips this week for more information!
