Top 10 Tuesday's!!!

Alright, so this week I thought I would change it up just a bit. Seeing as we're coming up on a long weekend here in Canada, all I can think about is relaxing! And what's one of my favorite things to do when I want to relax??? Kick back with a good movie, of course! So here is my Top 10 Picks for The Best Wedding Movies of All Time:
  1. The Father of the Bride- Who didn't love this movie growing up? And who wouldn't want Steve Martin as a Dad? This movie is a remake, obviously about a Dad's dilemma when his little girl wants to get married, its hilarious as it is heartwarming. My favorite part? Martin Short playing the wedding planner, Franck!
  2. Wedding Crashers- This has got to be one of my all time favorite movies, its certainly my number 1 comedy choice. The cast is hilarious, the story line kills me and there are some classic lines that people will be saying forever I'm sure!
  3. Who wouldn't want these guys at their wedding??
  4. Bride Wars- I LOVED this movie. How could you not love a story about 2 best friends that share everything, including, as it turns out, their wedding day. Both choosing to get married at the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York City (just spectacular!) But of course, these 2 bridezilla's kiss and make up, it really wouldn't be a chick flick unless that happened! If this movie doesn't make you want to give your best friend a huge squeeze, there might be something wrong with you!
  5. Sweet Home Alabama- Ok....Reese Witherspoon is one of my favorite actresses of all time, so put together the fact that this movie is all about her choosing which delicious hunk to marry- clean, sophisticated city guy? Or sweet, backwater Alabama boy that happened to be her first love. Tough choice for sure, but I think she made the right one. "You were the first boy I ever kissed and I want you to be the last". I'm getting all misty just writing it out people, if you haven't seen this movie, its an absolute must!
  6. My Best Friends Wedding- Every time I hear "I say a little prayer" I am transported to that karaoke bar. Talk about wedding sabotage! Julia Roberts shines as the jaded best friend that falls in love with the groom!
  7. My Big Fat Greek Wedding- NiaVardolous definitely steals the show, as a 30 year old single girls whose a disappointment in her families eyes....until she meets Ian. If this movie doesn't have you rolling on the floor laughing and wanting to go out and buy some windex (it fixes everything ya know!) then I'll be damned!
  8. The Wedding Date- This one doesn't make a ton of wedding movie lists I've noticed, but I liked it! Its a cute little story all about family dynamic and the relationship between 2 sisters. Would you ever be desperate enough to take a male escort to your sisters wedding just to impress an ex? Well you better pray he looks like Dermot Mulroney, my guess is, he'll look a little more homeless and a little less distinguished, but hey! No judgement here!
  9. Made of Honor- Let me start out by saying, Patrick Dempsey is chick flick gold. This guy makes great chick flicks! Must be his hair...so of course this is a movie about 2 best friends, Hannah and Tom. On a work trip to Scotland Hannah ends up falling in love (how could you not in such a beautiful place?) And Tom of course realizes he has been in love with her all this time...sigh. I won't spoil the ending, but believe me, this is not one that you want to miss!
  10. The Proposal- This flick is more being engaged....good lord, who wouldn't want to be engaged to Ryan Reynolds, talk about the perfect man, he looks like that AND he's funny?!?! Ok, I need to relax here obviously. Plus I have my very own Ryan, but back to The Proposal. Any movie that can combine Sandra Bullock and Betty White dancing to Get Low by Lil' John in the forest has 2 giant thumbs up from me! Plus that house the movie is filmed in?!?! Stunning, this movie is full of laughs and helps you remember the important things in life.
  11. My number one wedding movie? Obviously, The Wedding Planner- With my chosen profession, could you really doubt this was going to be my favorite?? Jennifer Lopez just works this role like a wedding genius and I promise you, every single wedding I do, without fail, someone will call me J-Lo, just like the wedding planner they say. And I promise brides, I am not going to pull a J-lo and snatch your husbands. You gotta check this movie out to really see the intricacies of weddings!
